Friends of The Artist

my friends are extremely talented and incredibly attractive

The Blue Ridge Artisan Market

More than just a market, The Blue Ridge Artisan Market creates community between local artists, makers, small businesses, and friends. Join us for tasty beverages, great food, live music, and most importantly unique creations.

The Asheville Artists Flood Collection

The River Arts District in Asheville was home to 300+ artists. But this entire area was completely destroyed by Hurricane Helene.  These 300+ artists have lost studios, equipment, or full collections of work, and in many cases, they have lost their primary source of income for an unforeseen amount of time.

We know we will rebuild and come back stronger than ever but right now we need your help.

The Asheville Artists Flood Collection is a card deck and coffee table book featuring 54 original pieces of art lost to the flood. This is our way of memorializing, honoring, and sharing these works with the world, while putting money directly into the hands of artists who need it, as quickly as possible. Minus operating costs, ALL proceeds will be split evenly between 54 participating artists.

Tia Sculpt

Tia is a wonderful friend and a wildly talented ceramic artist. I adore all of her work and I’m very lucky to have a few of her pieces in my personal collection.

Alex Stilber

Have you seen her work? Alex is an absolute goddess and I feel very lucky to call her a friend. I am in love with her figurative works and the way she combines humans and nature. Her artwork speaks to my soul, and I’m lucky to have a few of her pieces in my personal collection.

Ginger Sapp Jewlery

My friend and neighbor Brittni is a fabulous Polymer Clay & Resin Jewelry Artist. She’s known as the Bolo Queen around town. Her work is top notch and I’m very lucky to call her my friend.

Hemlock Pointe

Nick & Eric are my favorite art market friends. Not only do they always smell incredible, they’re also the life of the party. These handsome soap makers have built a passionate soap, candle, and fragrance company dedicated to crafting exquisite products that captivate your senses.

The Wild Ginkgo

Brittany is a magical friend and talented Jewelry Artist. She’s a Wildlife Biologist who is enamored with the natural world. She has a passion for gardening and grows all of the plants that she uses to create her unique jewelry. She is also the incredible woman behind the Blue Ridge Artisan Market, and I am forever grateful for her friendship.

The Dryad’s Garden

Eliana is a wonderful friend and impressive printmaker. Her work illustrates the connections between childhood, imagination, and nature. Much like myself, she also finds great comfort in being surrounded by trees and plants. I adore her whimsical and dreamlike images and their connection to nature.

Vine & Frond

Sydney Broach is an absolute badass Ceramicist & Houseplant Queen. I love the way she approaches art making with endless curiosity and tenacity. I am constantly impressed by the volume of work she is able to produce; it is truly staggering. It’s easy to see that she’s found her passion at the crossroads of plants and pottery, her work is bold, lush and juicy.

Joan Lesikin

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing Joan, then you know how brilliant and hilarious she is. As a fellow figurative painter, living in the same small town, grappling over fabric and the general censorship of nude artwork, we clicked immediately. Her large-scale figurative landscapes are so clever and well executed, they offer a dual experience: an exploration of hills and valleys of a landscape and of crevices and curves of the draped human form.

Red Bison Print Co.

Geneva is great friend and an extremely talented printmaker. Her tree ring prints might be my favorite, but all of her woodblock relief prints are absolutely fantastic too. Be sure to check out her original print “Blue Remarkables” inspired by the "Remarkables" mountains range seen by the artist while visiting Queenstown, New Zealand which are just one of two ranges on earth that run directly north to south.

Stefanie Irene

Stefanie & I both love beautiful babes who aren’t afraid to bare it all. Naturally, we became instant friends. She is an incredibly talented Intimate Portrait Photographer. She is a true professional who leads with intention and the images she captures of individuals in their most delicate moments are so beautifully taken and cared for. She is a steward of time and memory and her photos are proof. I feel very lucky to call her my friend.
