This Burning Maple Log was supposed to feature a removable central flame, transforming it into a versatile piece that can serve as stash spot for tiny treasures and trinkets, however, the lid fused to the base during the Glaze firing, and it is no longer removable. Hand-built from Speckled Brownstone clay by Highwater Clay, the sculpture's surface is hand-painted with Velvet Underglaze, intricately carved, and finished with a clear glossy glaze.
