Artsville Virtual Gallery of Artists - Spring Cohort 2024

Virtual Gallery Spring '24

Artsville’s Virtual Gallery of Artists (VGA) is both a digital exhibition space and a classroom where artists are provided three months of marketing and mentorships to show their work and advance their creative businesses. By working side by side with ArtsvilleUSA staff and partners, the current class of fifteen artists will expose their work to a global audience while receiving a full schedule of digital and live learning experiences.

After a record number of applicants, these individuals were selected for their superb work spanning a variety of mediums: ceramics, jewelry, and weaving to oil painting, watercolor, and mixed media. Their unique perspectives speak to the breadth of creative talent here in Western North Carolina. Artsville's mission is to elevate awareness about artists in Asheville and surrounding counties, advancing their exposure to a buying audience and telling their stories through print and digital media to our global base of 10,000+ subscribers. The VGArtists are integral to Artsville’s monthly newsletter, podcasts, discussion groups and learning programs, giving them opportunities to earn recognition for further exposure in events, pop-up shows and networking groups. Artsville provides this program at no cost to the Virtual Gallery Artists, but encourages that earned income from sales be reinvested in their art businesses to grow income for themselves and their families. Artsville’s dedication to the area’s creative culture is for artists to be able to continue to live and work in the Asheville area despite high costs of housing and studio space.
